Marthe & Ranveig: Noosa, Fraser Island & Eumundi.

Busy city life is always fun, but we felt it was time to find a beach!

After some googeling we ended up in Noosa. A laid-back town with endless beaches, the perfect place to relax and get some tan.

We stayed at Dolphin beach house, only 1 minute walk from sunshine beach. It didn't take long before we found it. We spent the whole first day there, tanning, walking, swimming and dreaming of the perfect “Home and Away”-life, that they seem to live there.

The locals gathered on the beach, before and after work, walking their dogs, and meeting up with friends and neighbors. Apparently everybody knows how to surfs, female – male, young – old. Impressive!

During our stay in Noosa, we paid the worlds largest sand-island, Fraser Island, a visit.

We really enjoyed driving fast on the beach, which actually was the main road(!), with the waves splashing in on the side of the car.

The main attraction on the trip was Lake Mckenzie, a beautiful, clear-blue lake with a sand bottom as white as snow. We had a lot of fun there, thank you Mom and Dad Dybvik for the awesome underwater camera!

A hour being childish in the lake, made us very hungry. Luckily it was time for a barbecue. Tasty barramundi was on the menu. Finally we got to try it, and it was goooooood.

All together it was a good trip, and we are glad we got to experience Fraser Island!

It's not always easy to drive in the sand!

We visited Red Canyon on the way home.

Every wednesday and saturday a big market is held in Eumundi. We love markets, so of course we had to go! Since we arrived in Australia, Marthe has been looking for the perfect didgeridoo. Here she FOUND IT! She even got some lessons from Justin who said she was a natural (Ranveig think not).
